Conceito | Concept — Sediments n# 3

Still-life reinterpreted using soil, plant life support. Simultaneously, crystallized in resin, perpetually evoking the flowers that arise from it, this soil cannot sustain more life. The resin which captures and protects the moment is, however, sterile and artificial. The land that feeds the flowers, the light that passes through the panel, patterns that evoke the island, the island’s flowers, suspended forever as if in solidified amber, translucent vanitas without front or back. Still flowers, crystallized, risking loss of meaning in the game of sorting the parts that constitute them.
